What We Collect
- ◈ Email address — provided during purchase via Stripe, used for license key delivery and recovery.
- ◈ WeatherFlow Tempest token — entered by you in Settings, stored in your browser and synced to our server for cross-device access.
- ◈ Dashboard configuration — unit preferences, panel layout, station ID, and display settings.
- ◈ Weather history (Plus and Founder plans) — to power historical charts and trends, we fetch your station's past observations from WeatherFlow and store them on our server, linked to your station. This is used only to display your own dashboard, is never sold or shared, and is retained for the life of your subscription.
- ◈ Marketing analytics — basic page and interaction events collected with PostHog on the public marketing pages so we can understand whether the site is working. The public marketing pages and the post-checkout welcome page also load the Google Ads tag, which uses cookies to measure whether our ads lead to visits and sign-ups. The dashboard app does not use analytics tracking, and we do not include WeatherFlow tokens or raw weather observations in analytics events.
What We Don't Collect
- ◈ We don't sell or share your weather data. When you view your own dashboard, live readings stream from WeatherFlow directly to your browser. Some features do pass through our servers: guest share links fetch your station's data with your token and serve it from a short-lived cache, and the Plus and Founder history feature stores your past observations to draw charts, as described above.
- ◈ We do not sell analytics data, use analytics to collect WeatherFlow tokens, or include license keys, payment details, or raw weather readings in analytics events.
- ◈ We do not store payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe.
Where Data Is Stored
Your configuration and license data are stored with our secure hosting provider, encrypted at rest. Your Tempest token is included in the synced configuration to enable cross-device access. On Plus and Founder plans, your stored weather history is held with the same provider and retained for the life of your subscription.
Data Deletion
To request deletion of all your data (license record, configuration, stored weather history, and email lookup), contact support@halcyonwx.com. We will remove all associated records within 30 days.
